Happy day! The 2011 Christian Book of the Year was awarded to Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy by Eric Metaxas. I’ve been in line since forever to borrow this book at the library but now I’m extra-tempted to buy a copy. I’m not a biography reader but someone dear to me is 🙂 And what better day than Mother’s Day to give a gift? Even to someone who isn’t your mother.

Anyway, the ECPA presents the Christian Book Awards yearly to honor the finest in Christian publishing. There are six categories (I admit, I only really look at the Bible and Fiction categories). Among the finalists, one is chosen as the Christian Book of the Year.
