The Christy Award is given yearly to the best in Christian fiction. I’ve never really kept tabs on this award, but thanks to Twitter, I’m up-to-date! I like looking at lists like these and getting ideas for my next read (or bashing them for those I’ve already read).

I’m now even more curious to read Chosen: The Lost Diaries of Queen Esther. I love her story, and I can see how tempting it is to make a novel out of it. It’s just confusing because I can swear there’s at least one or two other books fictionalizing her life that were also released recently. Funny! The publishers must be smacking their foreheads seeing practically the same book, except with different covers and titles, all being advertised at the same time.

I’ve read The Charlatan’s Boy. That one is interesting. If it’ll reach Lord of the Rings popularity is doubtful, but it’s a solid effort in that direction.

Oddly, there is no Christian chicklit. Oh well. My search continues for something to throw in the face of all those Sex-in-the-City-fied contemporary romances.
