The Healer's Apprentice
The Healer’s Apprentice by Melanie Dickerson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a sweet story loosely based on the fairy tale “Sleeping Beauty.” So loosely, in fact, that you probably won’t notice that it is. But don’t worry, the novel certainly stands on its own merit.

The blossoming romance is tender without feeling too cloyingly sweet. It’s developed well, and a bit longer and more in depth than usual easy reads. Which is a good thing, because I really wanted to read more of it.

A good read for teens and young adults who enjoy period novels and classic tales of princes finding their princesses, and good triumphing over evil.
